2D Cut-Out Animator

Job Description

Come join the Animation team over at Laughing Dragon Studios! As an animator in our studio, you will be responsible for blocking key animation based on the storyboards or animatics, establishing the timing, actions, in-betweens and any revisions handed by your Animation Lead or Animation Director. You may also be asked to create traditional FX or character animation from time to time.

With a team of over 100 dedicated animators working in Toon Boom Harmony and other internally developed suites, as well as in-house editors, writers, illustrators and producers, Laughing Dragon Studios is a full-service studio. Requirements

  • Experience using character rigs for animation (sometimes called “builds”, or “puppets”).
  • Intermediate level of experience using Toon Boom Harmony.
  • Quick sketching or drawing skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team, collaborating with the lead and other animators on sequences.
  • Ability to be both detail oriented and able to see the bigger picture
  • Comfortable working on different projects and changing between animation styles.
  • Experience working in traditional animation is a plus.
  • Creative and innovative mind.
  • Proactive, sense of initiative and responsibility.
  • Positive attitude, collaborative, and good communication.
  • Strong team player

Benefits

Starting in March 2024, we are offering a one-year contracts in studio.
*Possibilities to extend the contract for other projects afterward.
