2D Animation Supervisor (ToonBoom)

BLINK INDUSTRIES is an Emmy-winning and BAFTA-nominated development and production studio based in London. We specialise in bringing an inventive, mixed-media approach to our slate of Comedy and Family projects, and we’re passionate about developing ideas that look and feel like no other.

We are currently looking for talented 2D ToonBoom Animation Supervisors starting towards end of 2023 to join our team on an exciting new 2D/CG mixed media TV series project that we’re bringing to life at our North-London based studio.

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience as animation lead and/or supervisor
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and highly creative series environment
  • Highly organised and experienced in scoping, bidding and giving concise feedback
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of 2D animation principles and perspective
  • Experience in animating strong, expressive poses and facial expressions
  • High attention and care for detail
  • Ability to adapt to different styles
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise work
  • Ability to work within given quotas and timeframes using the provided briefings and feedback
  • Expert knowledge of ToonBoom Harmony
  • Experience with hand-drawn animation

 

The 2D Animation Supervisor will work closely with the Animation Director to lead a team of 2D Animators to create rough, in-between and clean animations and revisions for a 2D ToonBoom-based TV series using the provided material.

You will prepare briefings and feedback for the rigging and animation teams, bid out work and provide day-to-day guidance to the animation team.

You will work closely with the Animation Director and Production teams to ensure work is done within the given timeframe and scope, using the provided animatics, rigs, designs, audio packs, briefings and feedback as a reference.

The role is based at our North-London Studio in the UK/England and requires the candidate to have the right to work in the UK.
