2D Sequential Artist (Remote)

Spoke Lane Entertainment Freelance Animator  Anywhere 18 Dec 2021

Job Description

Production Company that is active in animation and live action looking for a sequential artist for a graphic novel. The project is a science fiction action story akin to Aliens:

A retrieval team embarks on a mission to uncover why a space lab on the furthest edges of the galaxy has gone dark. Onboard, they encounter an android that holds the key to the station’s true purpose… However, getting to the truth turns into a violent cat and mouse with the sentient robot.

Pencils: $50 / Page ($10/Page for Thumbnails, $10/Page for Pencils)

Inks: $40 / Page

Pages: Between 100-120 pages

The book will be colored, but I am only looking for Pencils/Inks – I prefer one artist for both, but am open to two or a team. The script is not in a format that lock an artist into specific panel layouts. The first step will be doing thumbnails of the layouts. Once everyone is happy with those layouts, then pencils can truly begin.

I’m open to all art styles, but we are not looking for superhero type artwork.

Artists must deliver PSD files. The inking will be layered specifically for flat and then final coloring – so the artist must be willing to work within those parameters (each panel will be a layer with each character a layer and then the backgrounds as separate layers). It’s very simple and I can take an inked page you have already done and show you exactly how it should be organized.

Artist will be paid via Paypal as they finish each completed scene according to the script; ($10/Page for Thumbnails, $40/Page for Pencils).
