Full-Time Unreal Developer

Ohio Film Group is looking for an Unreal Engine 4 developer to help build our look dev and offline rendering pipeline into an easy to use, powerful testing pipeline for an animated television project. The project will require in depth knowledge of the current Unreal Engine 4 code base and tool sets. You will be collaborating with supervisors to write tools that will help speed up development and deployment across the board. The position will be full time for the duration of this first project. Work must be performed on site and on dedicated hardware. Must be a collaborative worker who is highly organized and attentive to detail.
Required Education/ Experience:
At least 2 years professional programming experience;
Proficient in C++ & Unreal Engine (2 years preferred for both);
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineer, Software Engineering, Game Development, Animation or related field. Four years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree;
Ability to test, debug, and extend code competently;
Experience in Python, Git or Perforce is preferred;
Experience with programming applications in UE4;
Experience with integration of Shotgun, Maya and Unreal engine;
Experience with version control systems (Git, Perforce) when dealing with Maya and Unreal
Strong team player and highly self-motivated individual desire/ ability to learn as needed;
Knowledge and experience with the most current version of Unreal 4 is a plus;
Collaborate with programmers to develop and test new features, prototype shader code, and provide useful feedback during R&D phases;
Desired Skills & Experience:
Professional experience with design patterns;
Knowledge of Maya;
Work well with client requests and your development colleagues;
Work on optimizing performance and improving render quality in game engine;
Work closely with the Dev and CG teams to integrate game engine tools into existing VFX pipeline
