CatFace is a YouTube entertainment company, home to a family of channels with 15 million subscribers and an average of 450 million views per month. Our goal is to entertain our audience with fun, light-hearted narratives and entertaining content for both children and young adults. A vital component of our business is creating multiple unique stories every week in order to keep our audience engaged.

CatFace is looking for a talented and driven Technical Artist 3D Rigger / Animator to join the Animation team in the creation of engaging content. The 3D Rigger / Animator would assist with but not be limited to: 

• Develop and maintain a broad range of character rigs in Maya across multiple projects 
• Ability to follow established specifications of existing rigs while developing improvements for future rigs 
• Create pipeline tools and scripts to aid the animation team 
• Work closely with Animation team to meet weekly deadlines
• Assist with animating a wide range of projects from shorts, to commercials, to long form music videos 

3D Rigger/ Technical Artist Job Requirements

• Must attach a Rigging and Animation Reel 
• Must have 2-3 years experience in 3D Rigging and Animation 
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills 
• Expert knowledge of animation and animation tools 
• Significant experience with Maya
• Ability to iterate and implement changes quickly without sacrificing quality 
• Understanding of scripting languages (MEL script, python, etc)
• Ability to offer and receive constructive feedback
• Ability to work both independently and with small teams 
• Must be based in the Austin TX area or willing to relocate 

Bonus Skills

• Fluid, cloth, or particle dynamics experience
• Lighting and rendering experience
• Knowledge of YouTube animations and trends 
• Excellent time management and organizational skills 
• Passion for making Family Friendly Content
