We are recruiting for two Stage Leaders for the MA Character Animation course. This is a thriving course and we are keen to appoint Stage Leaders for each year of the course delivery. You will be a key contributor to the management and evolution of the course becoming a part of a growing performance programme.

You will be responsible for teaching, participating in course development, and on-going scholarship/practice development. You will co-ordinate and oversee pastoral support, student engagement, and the academic support needs of your designated year group. Working alongside the Programme and Course Leadership, you will actively promote diversity and inclusivity in both teaching and curriculum management.

This is an opportunity for candidates who are interested in developing ambitious teaching practices to join the course team which includes storytellers, actors, character designers, editors, and sound designers.

Your profile as Stage Leader in MA Character Animation

The successful applicants will join a team of practitioners and academics with expertise covering a whole spectrum of techniques in 2D, CGI, stop motion and mixed media. This is an opportunity for someone who is keen to stay active with their individual professional practice alongside a career role as an academic with responsibilities for the next generation of creatives in the animation industries.

You should be able to demonstrate an understanding of animated performance and its principles and to have knowledge and practical experience in making animated content with convincing emotional and psychological nuance.
