Tonic DNA is an animation studio that worked on more than 300 productions focusing on creativity and quality over the last 35 years. You want to get involved with a multi-disciplinary animation studio, read ahead!

The Senior 3D Generalist will be part of our 3D productions for the Advertising department, working with a creative team across TV spots, social media content, installations, NFTs and longer form videos. This is an exciting role for someone who is eager to join a team of tight knit people, working on a variety of projects throughout the year, while collaborating with the creative directors and producers that participate in making each project as memorable as possible.

Our long-term goal as we grow the team is to have the Senior 3D Generalist step into a CG Supervisor role down the line. We love to promote growth internally and we put everything in place to ensure that success with our team.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Creating high-quality visuals and actively participate in the production execution
• Collaborate with directors, artists, and producers to bring each CG project to its full extent of creativity.
• Works in close collaboration with producers and the team to achieve the quality with respect to the schedule.
• Participate in the evaluation of the project’s technical needs, as well as the demands of the production pipeline, proposing appropriate solutions in agreement with the director and producers.
• Help in the creation of pitch style frames when needed.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of experience creating 3D visual content
• Strong knowledge of full CG lighting/comp – as a generalist we also expect a proficiency in all steps of the CG pipeline.
• Familiarity with industry software (Maya, C4D, Nuke, After Effects and render engine Octane, Redshift, Vray, etc.);
• Experience with creation of visual content, both prerendered and in real time, a bonus.
• Nice to have – Experience integrating CG in a 2D, VFX, Live-Action and Stop-Motion productions.
