Onibi was established in 2023. Our team comprises seasoned industry veterans who embarked on a mission to construct the ultimate UGC (User-Generated Content) multiplayer open world for exploration and creativity.

With decades of expertise in online worlds, multiplayer gaming, and innovative platforms, we have previously contributed to some of the most renowned and successful game titles. We meticulously assembled our team to craft something truly extraordinary.

The project is currently in stealth mode, so there’s limited information about us online. We’ll make a big splash when the time is right.

Our studio is looking for an experienced Senior 3D Animator contractor.

Description:

  • Role: Senior 3D Animator
  • Contract type: Contractor for ~4 months Full Time
  • Evolution of the contract: Can be possibly converted in a full time employee position.
  • Location: The candidate must be based in Europe within +/- 2 hours of CET time zone.
  • Workplace: Full Remote
  • Start date: As soon as possible

What you will be doing:

  • You will be the senior animator for Jamland!
  • You will be expected to rig, weigh and animate the characters, life and props, taking these assets from their 3D stage and bringing them to life.
  • You will be aiding in the overall art direction through concept animation tests and helping to develop the overall visuals for the game.
  • You might be asked to be involved in VFX animations too, working with our other artists to help develop the best solutions for all animation across the game.
  • You will be asked to work efficiently and effectively as part of a core art team where skill sets overlap and communication is key.

What requirements will we be looking at:

  • Excellent understanding of the Fundamentals of animation of visual arts.
  • Great understanding of the rigging and weighting process.
  • To show agency in the downtimes and make best use of your time to help the team and project.
  • To work in a non-destructive intuitive method because file sharing in a team this size is commonplace.
  • A few shipped projects at an Animator or Senior role.
  • Good understanding of the game development pipeline and expectations, this includes concept art and asset importation, though primarily you will be working on the rigging and animation stages.
  • You have excellent communication skills, and can communicate well across disciplines.
  • You enjoy teamwork and engaging in healthy debate, and actively seek alignment with colleagues on technical and design plans and constraints.
  • You possess excellent time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and have the ability to estimate work.
  • You work in a humble and open manner, with a willingness to both teach and learn from your colleagues.
  • You must speak and write English well.

Software:

  • Expert in Blender
  • Expert in Autodesk Maya and/ or 3Ds Max
  • Adept in After Effects
  • Adept in Photoshop and/ or any digital art program
  • Proficient with Unity
