Temporary Motion Graphics Designer/ Animator for Short Film
Please bear in mind that this is a short film intended for festival exhibition, not a commercial enterprise (it will never make a profit); as such, it pays expenses only.
MOTION GRAPHIC INSERT REQUIRED FOR SHORT FILM:
Keir Black and Momoyama have a new live-action short film that’s nearing the end of postproduction. We’re searching for people suitable and available to complete a brief 2D motion graphic animated insert.
The project could suit anyone for whom it would be a useful credit and/or experience, plus recent graduates.
The film requires one short animated insert, with a runtime of around 2 seconds or less: the animation is a simple graphic of a clock with the hand rapidly spinning backwards.
Successful candidates will need to be fluent with the necessary software and able to create with genuine talent and flair; they’ll also need access to the software and kit required to deliver the job.
Additionally, please bear in mind that this is a short film intended for festival exhibition, not a commercial enterprise (it will never make a profit); as such, it pays expenses only; this has been the deal for everyone else who has worked on the project, all of whom were established professionals.
My previous shorts had a lot of success getting into international festivals, and this one – judging by the tests and advance screenings we’ve done – seems like it should do even better.
The film is a dark, ironic comedy-drama, aiming to build on the achievements of my other work. I’m glad to say (and lucky) that the performances in it are brilliant, and that preview audiences are responding positively. Cast, crew and post staff are all pros.
Anyone interested in the job, please send links to any relevant work, plus a list of software and kit to which you have access.
I’d hope to have this animation delivered in June. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
