General Assisting is the best way to get your foot in the door at Locksmith Animation. All our assistants join us with the aim of moving on in the business as production and office assistants. It is a Production Management route.
Reports To: Head of Operations and Production Office Assistant
Key Purpose of the Job:
Answering the telephone and manning the reception area for the building.
Assisting all employees with queries and helping to resolve any problems.
Dispatching and delivering documents both in house and out of house.
Managing stocks and supplies, arranging orders.
Assisting the Production Office Assistant with the smooth running of our offices.
Working effectively in a team and ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely fashion with a can do attitude.
Needs to Do:
Reception duties, including dealing with switchboard calls, welcoming clients, providing refreshments for meetings and clients, booking meeting rooms, cars, and couriers.
Dispatching and collecting items on request, both in house and out of house; delivering post and other items to staff.
Log and manage the distribution of keys/passes amongst staff.
Keeping reception, rest areas, and all offices, clean tidy and well presented.
Dealing with petty cash, banking and dispatching of post.
Daily coffee/tea runs and organising buying and circulating the daily lunch for the company, guests, and any board or lunchtime meetings.
Taking initiative to manage stocks and supplies, arranging orders where necessary; ensuring refreshments, kitchen, stationery, general office equipment, and toilets, are well stocked.
Assist and back up key talent/personnel with personal needs to enable them to work effectively.
Providing support to Producers and Managers, assisting Producers with document presentation where necessary, including adding images to layout, laminating, binding, scanning, photocopying and printing.
Needs to Know:
Have good customer service skills.
Have a professional and friendly phone manner.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet and Email.

Job remuneration and hours: rotating shift work of 8.30am-5.30pm or 10.30am-7.30pm. Salary is £422 p/week PAYE, 12 month Fixed Term contract with 3 month probation period.
