Full-Time Lead 3D Games Animator

Location: Remote/Leamington Spa, UK
Compensation: £40-£50K DOE

We are looking for a Lead 3D Animator with multiple years of experience in game development and a thorough understanding of the game dev pipeline. A strong understanding of the principals is essential with a keen eye for adding character and personality to your work.

You will be leading short and long term projects, either singularly or working alongside the animation team to create believable high-quality character animations. Using your knowledge and experience, help craft the clients vision, giving guidance and suggestions on how to improve the players experience through animation design.

Project management skills, working out what is needed and assigning time/people to it. Balancing the needs of the project and the needs of the company.

You have experience managing people, giving clear and concise feedback, and mentoring less experienced animators to strengthen their skills.

You will be joining the team at a crucial time for the studio as we grow and develop our animation pipeline, and nurture the healthy culture we have striven to create.

Responsibilities

– Create high quality, hand keyed character, creature and environmental animations.
– Lead and collaborate with other disciplines to ensure the animations works as intended in the game.
– 1Ability to adapt and work with new technologies and workflows.
– Work with both keyframe and motion capture data.
– Problem solve typical game dev issues

Requirements

– Strong key frame animation skills, character, creature and mechanical.
– Ability to switch up styles from cartoony to realistic
– Experience working with motion capture data and leading shoots a plus
– Multiple shipped titles, holding the lead title in at least one.
– Capable of creating schedules and commit to delivery dates.
– In depth knowledge of Maya.
– Ability to implement your work in engine, working with anim graphs.
– Experience in Unity and UE4 advantageous.
– Be a team player, open to take and offer feedback.
– Have the desire to help make awesome games.
