This is for an in-house position.

Mojo Bones Ltd. is a small South London based games developer seeking a 3D Animator to work directly with the development team and a AAA publisher, to help create and define the overall visual style of animated characters on our upcoming project. The Animator role will have good fundamentals of traditional animation skills with a thorough knowledge of rigging/skinning and character modelling. The Animator role with be solely responsible for all animation on the project, so this will be your baby – You will work in unison with the other members of the art team building characters, and accepting handoff to skin and animate in the determined style we have set for the project. Additionally, the role will require a good knowledge of both Autodesk 3DS Max (Maya will be considered) and Unity 3D for both creation and implementing work in to Unity’s Animator/Mechanim systems – usage and experience with Cinemachine also needed. Candidate will be an integral member of the team and have open opportunities to give feedback and creative suggestion across all facets of the project. Our ideal candidate possesses strong technical skills, an artistic eye, and passion for animation and video games.

· Design, create, test, and maintain character rigs/setups

· Work with modellers to create a model that meets technical needs

· Be familiar with various character animation styles and the principles they utilise.

· Good knowledge of Autodesk 3DS Max (Maya will be considered also)

· Good knowledge and understanding of Unity 3D and it’s animation
pipeline/systems/Mechanim/Cinemachine

· Coordinate with Art & Design on the overall creative vision for the project.

· Willing to participate and engage oneself in creative areas of the project outside of animation.

· Good self-management and scheduling skills.

What do we require from you?

· 3+ years of industry experience

· A solid foundation in animation and creative skills.

· Strong understanding of both Figure and Facial Anatomy

· An active, passionate interest in video games.

· Able to work well with pressure, deadlines with minimal supervision.

· Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

· Diligence with individual and team tasks.

· Solid organization and production skills.

· Capacity to learn new tools and techniques to help increase quality and efficiency.

· Solid understanding of 3D applications such as 3DS Max/Maya.

· Portfolio/website/showreel demonstrating animation and creative skills.

Bonus Skills

· Programming experience with scripting languages such as Python and MEL

· Have proficiency with additional applications such as Photoshop, Substance painter etc.

· Have proficiency of motion graphic software such as After Effects and Premiere.

Traditional animation and draftsmanship skills.

As part of the Mojo Bones Ltd. application process, candidates should expect to be asked to complete an animation test.
