Part-Time After Effects Animaton/ Designer (Motion Graphics & Characters)
THIS IS NOT A REMOTE WORKING POSITION. You’ll ideally be able to drive and live within a commutable distance of Turnchapel in Plymouth, South Devon, UK.
We’re looking for a talented After Effects animator and designer to join our small animation studio in Plymouth.
The perfect candidate will be very well versed in After Effects and have a strong illustration and graphic design skills.
Motion graphic skills are a must. Experience of working with After Effects 3rd party tools would also be beneficial. (i.e. Element 3D, Plexus, Motion, Newton etc..)
Plus some experience doing character animation. Plus being able to rig characters using DUIK or Rubber hose is a plus (though can be learnt pretty quickly).
Along with being familiar with a 3D software package, ideally C4D.
You would be expected to work across all areas of a creative project. From script review, creative ideas, storyboarding, design, animation, amending/refining, rendering, editing and exporting. Essentially becoming a key member of the team pretty quickly.
A passion for learning, animation, design and film are of course necessary. Plus a general eagerness to create stunning work and always be thinking about how we can raise the bar in terms of design and creativity.
Our studio is successful through producing high-quality work, quickly for most business to business markets.
Some frame-by-frame traditional animation skills would be a plus.
A passion for drinking tea/coffee and making tea/coffee is never frowned upon.
We’re a small studio. 5 years old now that really hits above its weight. We produce a wide range of animation for businesses 90% of which is very creative and generally pretty cool. We aspire to be one of the best.
After a short trial period, the position would become a part-time position for 3 days a week. With the potential for overtime when possible and if wanted. If over time it’s viable it could become a full time role.
