Founded in 2002, Sliced Bread Animation is a London based animation and technology studio, we focus on producing engaging and immersive communication for some of the worlds leading brands. The studio is going through an exciting period of growth at the moment.

Freelance 3D Generalist Job Description 

We are currently looking for a Freelance 3D Generalist to work with our team on a 360 vr medical animation project for the next 2 months. You will need experience in Maya, Arnold and Nuke mainly.

 

Preference would be given to those who are London based. Remote working is fine, but you may be required to come to the studio on the odd occasion.

 

3D Generalist key requirements

  • Design and produce animation to an agreed client brief using Maya and Arnold to enhance the creative potential of the concept.
  • Deliver all work to the highest standards of quality and accuracy paying close attention to detail and to its suitability for the media upon which it will be deployed.
  • Work with the team on projects as required to ensure the best outcome for the client and to avoid duplication of effort or delay.

Required experience/ skills

  • Skilled and proficient Maya Generalist with experience of producing commercial and profession work.
  • Have managed animation projects from concept to completion, and has the ability to work to high standards with limited supervision.
  • Understands the necessity and has had experience of ensuring the rendered artwork is correctly set up for media delivery.
  • Skilled and proficient in Maya, Arnold and Nuke for compositing, with experience in working with a render farm.
  • Skilled in modelling for all types of CGI animation, including UV and texture set-up, particle effects, shader configuration and preparation for rendering via Arnold, and compositing via Nuke.
  • Ability to composite rendered images and use relevant effects to achieved the desired art direction.
  • Ability to prepare assets for use in Unity including lighting and texturing, useful but not essential.
  • Experience with 360 renders in Arnold would be a plus.
