BLINK INDUSTRIES is an Emmy-winning and BAFTA-nominated development and production studio based in London. We specialize in bringing an inventive, mixed-media approach to our slate of Comedy and Family projects and we’re passionate about developing ideas that look and feel like no other.

We are currently looking for a talented and ToonBoom savvy 2D Lead Character Designer, starting asap, to join our team on an exciting new 2D/CG mixed media TV series project that we’re bringing to life at our North-London based studio.

• At least 3+ years of relevant experience
• Experience designing 2D characters, props and special poses for animation series,
• Experience creating technical drawings and breakdowns required for rigged based 2D character animation,
• Excellent perspective and drawing skills,
• Understanding of designing for ToonBoom rigged puppets,
• Comfortable adapting to different styles,
• Excellent leadership and communication skills,
• Ability to work in a fast paces series environment.

The Lead Character Designer will be part of the character design team and will be working closely with the Art Director, 2D Rigging Supervisor and Character Designer to create 2D character and related designs which serve as a basis for 2D ToonBoom rigged based animation. Day-to-day work includes, but is not limited to, leading a team of character designers and create character, costume and prop designs, turnarounds, breakdowns, lip-sync and expression sheets as well as special poses.

The role is based at our North-London Studio in the UK/England and requires to work on location.
