Layout artist wanted. Skilled, creative, and talented 2D Layout Artists (background) wanted for live action and 2d animated theatrical short film in the style of classic Disney.

Layout Artists will work closely with Director and Leads to create from sketch to final layouts for backgrounds to ensure the vision of the film is achieved.

2D Layout Artist Requirements

• Ability to meet preexisting style of film, high visual and technical standard.
• Create highly stylized and detailed layouts while adhering to predetermined 2D environments, live action, and character animation performances.
• Collaborate with Director to hit visual and functional goals.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work remotely.
• Ability to work in layers in exceptionally large formats.
• Ability to adhere to layout shading values.
• Some sketching maybe required to add into some backgrounds and/or existing layouts.
• Layout Artists may be assigned props to create.
• Layout artists may be assigned story board sequences to proceed a layout series.
• Ability to work with live action footage/ final animation/green screen/stills to ensure accuracy of scaling, angles and dimensions for rough composites, post-visual tests, and final composite of live action and animated scenes.
• Ability to create dynamic storyboards for animation sequences and animators.

2D Layout artists pay rate depends on complexity of assignment layout pay range of $50-$500 per assignment.
