2D Generalist

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Editor & 2D Generalist to join our Digital department. You will be responsible for various aspects of creative design and production, focusing on creating captivating visual content for the Digital department.

Reporting into the Lead Content Producer, you will be involved in producing and editing high-quality compilations and thumbnails, adhering to our brand quality standards. You will also be involved in the design of engaging 2D animations for mobile & web applications, for YouTube and other AVOD platforms.

As part of a growing team, and with your experience in Adobe Creative Suite, there will be additional responsibilities including editing audio, video and image assets for the Games team and creating assets for our digital music streaming platforms.

Day to Day:

  • Produce and edit video compilations and create multiple YouTube thumbnails per week, adhering to brand quality standards and guidelines.
  • Create illustration and graphic design work for digital platforms, with a primary focus on vector artwork.
  • Work across all stages of the 2D pipeline from rigging characters, to scene prep, to animation and final export on all digital projects
  • Design and create engaging 2D animations for both mobile and web apps.
  • Operate and manipulate CG puppets using Blue Zoo’s in-house MoPo software.
  • Participate in creative discussion sessions to conceptualise new ideas and innovative approaches for upcoming projects.
  • Regularly review and implement feedback from team leads and stakeholders to refine and enhance projects.
  • Stay on top of the latest trends in animation, graphic design, and digital content creation, incorporating these insights into your work to keep it fresh and relevant.
  • Develop and upgrade your technical skills, particularly in animation and graphic design software, to maintain high standards of creative output.

About You

Must Have:

  • Good design skills and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organised, proactive and confident with the ability to manage and prioritise a varied and demanding workload.
  • Experience in creating and manipulating Vector artwork.
  • Openness to explore our in-house Mopo tool in Unreal Engine.
  • Demonstrated ability to receive and act on feedback, adapting to direction with a positive attitude.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience working with puppets & puppetry.
  • Experience working in children’s media.
  • An understanding of creating content for children, including an awareness of the implications of COPPA and GDPR laws.
  • An understanding of what makes content fun for children.
