BLINK INDUSTRIES is an Emmy-winning and BAFTA-nominated development and production studio based in London. We specialize in bringing an inventive, mixed-media approach to our slate of Comedy and Family projects and we’re passionate about developing ideas that look and feel like no other.

We are currently looking for a talented and multi-faceted 2D CG Generalist, starting Spring 2023, to join our team on an exciting new 2D/CG mixed media TV series project that we’re bringing to life at our North-London based studio.

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant leading/supervising experience working on animated series
• Ability to work in a fast paced and highly creative series environment
• Ability to work with and lead a team of specialized CG artists working across the CG pipeline
• Expert knowledge of the CG pipeline, including layout, modelling, surfacing, lighting and rendering
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new workflows and techniques
• High attention and care for detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Expert knowledge of Autodesk Maya and Adobe Substance
• Knowledge of Python (a plus)
• Knowledge of 2D pipeline/techniques (a plus)

The 2D CG Generalist / CG Lead will be working closely with the 3D Technical Director and Production team to lead and oversee the CG department of a 2D/CG mixed media TV series project.

The day-to-day tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Work closely with the technical director to find creative and technical solutions for the creative challenges of the show
• Work closely with the technical, creative and production teams to bid and brief work to CG Artists
• Oversee a team of CG Artists to ensure work is done on time and within scope
• Supervise a team of CG Artist to ensure work is done within the creative and technical requirements
• Pro-actively troubleshoot and come up with solutions for technical and creative challenges

This role would be perfect for an experienced 2D CG Lead or an experienced 2D CG Generalist looking to step up into a lead position. It is based at our North-London Studio in the UK/England and requires to work on location. Whilst we are open to discuss hybrid work for the right candidate, the role requires a valid working permit for the United Kingdom.
